Tres Leches Cupcakes

A Latin American dessert by origin, Tres Leches, when translated means “three milk”, as three forms of milk are used in this spongy and indulgent cupcake. An absolute favourite of the all-age groups, now you can also enjoy it, without any added calories, by using Swee10 instead of sugar. So, put on your baking gear and bake to your heart’s delight, the light, decadent and flavourful Tres Leches.

Ingredients: 

For cupcakes:

  • Refined flour- 200 gm
  • Melted butter-100 gm
  • Egg-1 No
  • Baking powder- 1/2 tsp
  • Baking soda- 1/4 tsp
  • Salt- 1/4 tsp
  • Swee10- 40 gm
  • Buttermilk- 100 ml

 

For syrup:

  • Milk-50 ml
  • Condensed milk- 25 ml (made out of Swee10)
  • Fresh cream- 25 ml

 

For whipped cream:

  • Fresh cream- 50 ml
  • Swee10-10 gm
  • Agar Agar- 2 tsp

 

Method: 

  • In a bowl, take melted butter, swee10, egg and buttermilk
  • Mix the ingredients well
  • To the wet ingredients, add the dry ingredients and form a batter
  • Line the cupcake mould and put the batter 3/4 in each mould
  • Bake at 160 degrees for 15 mins
  • Once baked, poke holes in the cupcakes
  • Make the syrup to be poured over the cupcakes by mixing milk, condensed milk and cream

  • Pour the syrup on the cupcakes and let them soak well
  • Meanwhile mix fresh cream, Swee10 and Agar Agar. 
  • Beat the mixture until light and fluffy, for making whipped cream.
  • Finish with whipped cream, cinnamon powder and freshly cut strawberries over the cupcakes
  • Enjoy the spongy and decadent Tres Leches
